SEP 20: CANCEL THE DEBT!
INVEST IN THE PEOPLE
September 20, 2019, will mark the second anniversary of Hurricane Maria. Two years ago, the hurricane ravaged Puerto Rico, forcing tens of thousands to leave the island, and many more to deal with the consequences of the disaster. Maria also put the spotlight on Puerto Rico's suffocating debt and the forces undermining working families. Now more than ever, the fight must continue to ensure our leaders invest in the people and cancel the debt once and for all!
WHAT WE DEMAND
We demand that:
-
Cancel the debt for a just recovery
-
Audit the debt so we can get back what we're owed
-
A just recovery with community oversight, NOT more federal control
-
A Green New Deal for Puerto Rico
